Mecha,
I have the game, not played a single scenario. Old time gamer but I've only been playing my brother for the last few years. I used to belong to the ACWG club, did quite well on the old talonsoft games.
I am not "that" familiar with Panzer Campaigns but I have played Tobruk a bit; and am doing well as the Germans in Sicily, about 159 turns in. I've done scenarios with some of the other titles such as Normandy but that was years ago.
I'd be willing to take the Germans in a campaign game, and as some here have suggested with the volcano man alt version. I never played Highway to the Reich but watched some friends play a turn or two back in the day :)
We have to agree to the optional rules; but I'll go with most or all of the suggested ones that are listed here.
Not interested in scenarios - this one looks like something to be enjoyed without any teaser tastes first.
Let me know if you are interested.
I'll accept your challenge if Mecha isn't up for it. Alt version with his Optional rules for his Alt scenarios. I'll give him a few more days. I haven't opened the game yet, let me review Volcanoman's optionals compared to the ones recommended above. :) I appreciate the offer.

The alt rules he lists in the forum?
Alt Assault Res
arty set up
recon
low vis air effects
quality fatigue mods
counterbattery
night fatigue
progweather
limited air recon
the only diff would be explicit supply instead of vir sup trucks
the 'newer' supply rules makes the games much harder, and much more realistic. no more Rommel running all over North Africa without stop. frustrating but more historical. Sicily is great fun with the restrictions of explicit supply.
If Mecha isn't up to a full game, you agree to those rules?
I've never played this game. As far as I know explicit supply could be much worse for the Germans.
Those rules above are fine, but I'd rather have each side struggle with the issues of supply. As mentioned above, I'm about half way through Sicily and supply is a huge determinate in tactics.

I don't see any mention of explicit supply in this thread until this last message, so I am not sure what your plan is. However, for explicit supply to be used, there must be supply units in the scenario. No idea if they are or not - and frankly, I would expect supply to explicit supply to limit both sides, as the airborne for sure, and the ground forces a bit on the allied side were limited too.
Anyway, make sure there are supply units involved or explicit supply is useless.

"The following is a list of changes to Volcano Man’s Alternate MG44 scenarios
(These scenarios have “Alt” at the end of the filename).
Intended optional rules used with these alternate scenarios:
**Note: explicit supply may be selected in the alternate campaign scenario**"
Yes, those are the same rules he lists on file in game.
As this title has a "s" I believe you can use explicit supply?
So is this with GOLD or old version?

Yep, you choose explicit supply instead of virtual trucks.
Gold version.
Have you played this one a lot?
