Campaign Gettysburg
Can I alter parameters like movement value of Infantry and Cavalry (like in the Squad Battles series of games ),is there a Parameter Data editor?

I did find Parameter Data I think ,conf. and union normal and entrenched .pdt files but they are just numerical values without text descriptions.

I want Cavalry to be able to move faster and infantry too but only in clear hexes.
Also I would like maybe to adjust the melee attributes so that cavalry hits harder in melee whilst mounted.
Have not had game long but want to mimic more of an old school miniatures wargame feel with mounted cavalry rushes.

RE: Campaign Gettysburg
I found some information here,
http://www.acwgc-engineering.com/pdt.htm
http://www.acwgc-engineering.com/editor.htm

I assume I can change the .pdt file that is used in my scenario of choice and then change
Line 9: Movement allowance
Lines 10-22: For each terrain type: Movement cost
Line 77:Combat modifiers for targets,Mounted Cavalry modifier (in percentage)
to my liking.
This should work.

RE: Campaign Gettysburg
Repeating some notes from the website.

Cannot emphasize this enough.
When you start editing files remember to rename them first so you don't change your original stock scenarios, oob and pdt files.

If you want to create your own scenario you will want to create your new pdt file, pick or create an oob file and choose a map.

If you create or modify an oob file the most common problems come from the Begin-End matches.  These will cause the scenario to fail to load properly.

Once you rename the scenario you can change the pdt file it uses as explained in the page on the  Ediitor.

Be aware that any changes you make will affect the balance of the scenarios.  Even the use of Optional Rules can tip a scenario from balanced to favoring one side or the other.

RE: Campaign Gettysburg
Thanks for your reply and also the useful information you have on your site.

I have yet to alter any files as I am getting used to the Vanilla Game experience first.
My plan is to install a second copy of the game to mod, that is what I have done with other titles like Squad Battles for example.
