A lot of my OOB work comes from

world war 2 data book by john ellis
slaughter house by Kieth e bonn
German ground forces by D Glantz
several opsrey books dealing with axis and soviet units and numbers

Plus other web sources...

BUT
they do not cover corp or Army unit attachments as you asked. I have tried to find a source for this information, but to no avail. 

But I do not give up that quick!!
What I have been working on is a list of what would normally be standard attachments ie
artillery
Stug Btn
Heavy tank Btn
Pioneer Btn
Flak Btn  Etc, Ect

Then going into the web sites & books, and going through all the units one by one. so I can get a fix on where they were and what corp they were in.

If you scroll down it shows artillery div 18 for example. was with the 24 corp in Jan, attached to 4 panzer army in 1944 army group south (plus a lot of others can be traced).

I also read a lot. and note down where units are mentioned and cross check with the above sources.

I'm currently working on OOB's  for all the separate army groups (south from 43-45)  so reading a lot of rolf hinze.

Thanks for the web site, I have already been using that site. You might want to look at the library of congress web site for situation maps and other cool stuff. Also US & UK military unclass archives. Russian is good source too but requires a lot of translation   ie

Attached our some of the maps for Smolensk 43 Scenario.

This should be fairly simple to put a (simple) campaign together. I can cross check with my german and russian OOB books. and also read a lot of the division AAR for both sides from the web to get clues about the situation on the ground. That Osprey smolensk is a great book to start. Also the AI should be fairly simple as I have the approx dates. AI instruction (Just go west).

After my initial research this battle looks to be very interesting, would have made a great title. 

Also looking into Budapest 45 for a spring awakening 45 campaign scenario. (The large map is included in the original title but was never used) shame Spring awakening was the last large scale panzer clash, it would have made another great title??

By the way Craig, in your research on the German ooB, did you manage to delve into the ooB of the XXVII.Ak and the LVI.Pzk for the beginning of Suvorov? Do you have the units that made up the Korpstrüppen? I mean artillery, Pioneer, StuG.Abt ... etc

Hello there.
I'm not sure if it could be helpfull, there is Russian project that contains various military documents (orders, reports, maps etc) about German-Soviet and Soviet-Japanese wars - https://pamyat-naroda.ru
Because its all in Russian then probably most usefull data there should be various maps. There is also the issue that some time ago this project started to change something about their maps (like change format so maps no more downloadable) and most of maps currently not available or their quality was screwed up.
Anyway its really good data.
How does it could work for people who not fluent in Russian. Go to search documents page https://pamyat-naroda.ru/documents/?stat...f692760dv1 (change interface to English if default was not - click "En"), click "SPECIFY". Into "Military unit" put the abbreviation in Russian (like 21 а, 5 мк, запф), you can add start/end dates too. Click "search" and filter results by "maps and charts". Then try to open links.
E.g. we can try to find maps that related to Western Front during Suvorov Operation. Western Front = запф, start date 01.08.1943, end date 01.10.43. There are 44 documents of category "maps and charts". Most of them not available as I said already. But we can get maps like these:

It was just random examples maybe you can find more maps that works.

Thank you, this is a great find, I have never seen this site before. There looks like there is possible information about many if not all the eastern front campaigns.

We have been using it for the past 5 years, we have over a TB of War journals downloaded for use, wonderful information.
And we also use the German Records. We have close to 1500 rolls for Heeersgruppes, Armeen, Korps, and OKH records.

Some of the stuff we have has been through paying an individual to photograph it directly in the Russian archives. Not too many people will have seen it outside of Russia.

Mike puts a lot of time and love into his Eastern Front order of battles...
