ToD or Vietnam?

Thinking of buying a Vietnam title. Which is the better title, anyone have an opinion? ToD or Vietnam? I play mainly against the AI or against myself, if that makes any difference, which I doubt. Thanks for the help, in advance!

If you buy Vietnam then you can play 'Red Star Over Europe' Mod as well which is a great bonus,

I bought Vietnam Over TOD when I was faced with the same query -mostly prefer games that have Mods available.

Also have a look at the new Campaign Series Vietnam as well ,have not bought it yet but it is on my wishlist - looks like fun.

Thanks. Yes. I got CSV. It's really beautiful, nicely done. I like the 40m scale though, for this kind of thing. CSV has 250m hexes.

I got ToD, in the end. Looks great, though even with the slopes mod installed I cannot discern the contours in the jungle maps. Will check out the mods. Thanks.

Yeah its a big site, a bit difficult to navigate and in serious need of some updating but you can get it from here:

Pretty much any mod will work in any game. So grab a bundle :)

Yes, the jungle graphics are great and look appropriately dense but they kill the underlying terrain. I had to crop them a bit in Grenada to make sense of the contours.

But can anyone advise me as to how to install the Red Star over Europe mod, please? The installer is an exec that sets up a brand new folder called Red Star over Europe, but there's no game exec in there, no engine. How am I meant to link it to my Vietnam install? Sorry to be so stupid, but there's no install instructions with the download. Thanks.
