pbem problems

Trying to open pbem and getting the following message: 



22-11-07 10:51:58 vnengine.exe  [ERROR ID 1000] {modemm.cpp, line
3815, ModemMenu::EmailBattleStart0) saves\pbemail.yyy file data error,
at or before line 4


After playing several pbem games with vendetta, all of a sudden, I am getting a this message.  One scenario was about 2o turns in and the next scenario is the second turn.  Any help would be appreciated.
