Tanker Tony got caught in the path of the hurricane that hit Tampa, Fl. Dan Caviness stepped up to play a second game, but to be fair to his opponent and also following the original World in Flames rules, they were assigned a different scenario. This, in the off chance Dan took whatever scenario info he might gleam in his first game and apply it unfairly to his second.

Tony got his power and WiFi back early, so stepped back in with the OK from Von Dondo. So, they finished the alternate scenario. I don't think Dan had played many turns.

The rule roughly states that if either side has an odd number of players, the CIC of the larger team can pick a player to play two games, but the second game must be an alternate scenario. This avoids byes. I'm going to reserve the right to use byes when necessary (i.e, no volunteers to play two games at once), but hopefully it won't come up.

Hello Mr. David Your Exalted Scuditudeness:

I played EXACTLY one turn...;)
Tony picked up the reigns and seemed able to rise above my early scenario incompetence and lack of ability...he probably deserves a double...win that is...;)

I'm going to put a temporary halt to the tournament until he's back on his feet. I hope everyone understands.

What?  Single pneumonia not good enough?   It's not like Jack Daniels.  Big Grin  Get well quick, John.

I got an update yesterday from Warhorse. John is still in the hospital but on the mend. His pneumonia has cleared up. His heart condition was some kind of arrhythmia (probably due to all the Led Zeppelin he listens to Big Grin ). He's still getting some physical therapy, but hopes to be released in another week. Until then please keep him in your thoughts.

Thanks everyone for the warm well wishes, I truly truly appreciate it!!! 18 days in the hospital was a trip I don't want to repeat anytime soon.
But its good to be back with you guys! I'm building strength and just trying to get back to some normalcy. I thought about you guys when I was lying there a lot. Wink
