Leaders Question?
Guys - I have been wanting to ask this for a spell now but seem to forget to ask it.....just curious - how do you all use your leaders within EF & WF and DGVN?

The lower rank leaders for me go with the troops to make their moral higher and help with disrupted units...but say getting into Majors and on up - do you all keep them with the HQ units to increase supply or will you stack your General with the boys?

Just curious......

RE: Leaders Question?
I Usually do just as you have layed out.
The only time I pull the Majors or General away from HQ is in an attack
I need to make happen (sometimes). :smg:

RE: Leaders Question?
What good are the field and general officers at HQ? Better off available to gee-up the lads. Depends a lot on how many leaders you have. Some scens have leaders, but not incorporated properly int the ORBAT, and hence useless

Cheers

RE: Leaders Question?
I agree with KK about the higher REMF"s - hell - stack those gents with A Tiger or Panther Crew and see the effects of the enemies melting steel right before your eyes!

RE: Leaders Question?
There are two primary uses for leaders, and they are not sticking them with units for extra firepower (although that's ok if there is nothing better for them to do) OR using them with HQs. They are:

1. Helping disrupted units recover....that last +1 can mean 50% greater likelihood of undisrupting; and

2. Using them to guarantee a sucessful assault. An assault on disrupted units will suceed unless the attacking units are all disrupted (or destroyed). When was the last time you saw a disrupted leader? That would be never. A leader in the assault guarantees success unless your entire attacking force including the leader is wiped out. Since assaults kill more enemy than anything else, this is in my opinion the best way to use them.
