Prisoners
I have a question concerning prisoners. What the heck do you do with them? Do they count as points? Do you have to keep someone by them at all times for them to stay prisoners? More importantly, can they give away your position and if so, can you shoot them as spys????? :conf:

Many thanks
Schultz

RE: Prisoners
Move them to an area or location you control! Otherwise they can return to their unit unarmed! Leaders however can be used again and use their leadershipmover other units!

RE: Prisoners
I give them a order to move back, as far as from enemy units as possible.

RE: Prisoners
I move them way back behind the front line.....If your enemy break through to get them back....you got trouble any way ..

RE: Prisoners
Also, captured units count as more points than simple casualties, correct?

Yes,that's correct. You get twice the number of points for prisoners than for casualties.

RE: Prisoners
I had a recent VERY close game (where every point was going to count) where I was Soviets, and some unit of mine was captured, hands in the air and all that, and they stayed in place even after I had mopped up the German squad that had ''caught'' them. I tried area fire on my captured unit (couldn't get a direct line of fire) because I considered them as either (A) traitors, or (B) cowards...since they were by then surrounded by friendlies, but remained with hands in the air, ''captured.'' (I didn't want my opponent to get extra points for them.~~haha)

I wasn't able to hit them with small arms fire...but they soon reverted to my (Soviet) control anyway, and as someone else pointed out, without ammo.

Call me blood-thirsty, but I played out what the Russians, or others, would certainly have done with a unit that wouldn't come back over! ;)

With enemy POWs in my control, I always give them immediate marching orders to my rear. (I would ''Run'' them, but only option seems to be ''Move.'')

RE: Prisoners
What happens (pointwise) if you move the prisoners off the battlefield ?
