Interested in a "Little Saturn" Game?

Interested in a "Little Saturn" Game?
Is there any interest in fighting out a portion of Operation Little Saturn, Dec. 23 to Dec.27, 1942? It would be a rather informal series of games, not for ladder points, using maps based on Google Earth.
I have modified a set of campaign rules(nothing too difficult, I want to keep it simple and fun) and would need only a commitment from a Russian Commander and a German Commander plus an alternate. This person(s) would run the overall battle and get to play out tactical games as well. Everyone else could play and drop in and out as they wished, as long as they just play for one side, and not switch back and forth. Most things would be on an honour system, again we are trying to have some fun here.
Below is a portion of the map to be used. Everyone will have access to the Google map as I will post a link, and units will be placed and moved around on this map and zoomed in sections.

I will be quickly generating the CMBB maps as needed, and battles will be handed out as they occur. Every battle will have a time limit for completion, with PBEM being the method used. Battles will be kept as small as possible with large ones being battalion sized plus armor. Again, I am trying not to get too complicated. Any orders will be done using MS Paint and a sreenshot of the map, again, keep it simple. Not all battles will be even and some might be darn right lop-sided, but seeing as it does not count on the ladder, so what.
So if there is any interest, let me know here, I would like to start as soon as I finish the last post of the Main Event, if I ever get the last couple of files from the players,... hint...hint

RE: Interested in a "Little Saturn" Game?
Here is the link to the map area that we will be using. We can start right away, I just need to have one player on each side, Russian vs German. After that whoever wants to get in can post here and will be allowed to pick sides or will be assigned.
The main features that we will be fighting for will be the airstrip to the south of the town and the town of Tatsinskiy itself. The Germans start in control of both and the Russians will be the initial attackers, but this will change as units start to move around ect.
I will keep a tally on the strength of each unit after the battles and the Commander will have to work out any unit consolidations due to casualties and other things.
Once you guys settle on a side I will email the setups. Then we can start.

RE: Interested in a "Little Saturn" Game?
Well, we seem to have an Axis commander Cargol and herroberst in as the Russians. The other two will have to take a side, but for now I will use you two as the default commanders. If it changes later, no problem, just as long as I know who it is and only one person will be giving me the moves for each side.
I will start a thread for each side with the initial setup, then I will let you know what I need next and the two commanders will post their orders. No emails as I want to try to get others interested in playing as well. You can run your side by committee, or however you would like, I just want everything to be out in the open for all to read.
From now on, stay out of the enemy thread! Have fun. I will be posting the setup in a little bit.
