Laying mines

Can one lay a mine in an improved hex or on a bridge or in a pill box or on an air strip to keep planes from taking off or in a city or in a swamp hex?

Can one lay a mine in the same hex as other units?

Can one lay more than one mine in the same hex to increase the strength of the mine field?

Hi Pat it seems you can place mines anywhere on the map while designing a scenario even in deep water but during play you can not because the Eng would drowned lol. Yes you can lay mines in Improved Position, Trench, city etc. As far as the bridge goes, I can set a mine on the bridge during designing the scenario but never attempted to to actually plant mines on a bridge during play. You can also lay mines in the same hex as other units. You can use other mineing Eng's to increase the strength of the mine field but I have found out that it seems that once the mine Eng builds or increases the minefield hex , it is out of supply for the remainder of the game and can not lay another mine field or do any more increasing the strength of the mine field. As far as PB and Bunkers, I have placed mines there during designing a scenario but never attempted to lay a mine field in that type of hex. Except for the bridge issue, i think a mineing Eng can lay a mine anywhere it can get to.
