Apparently, I'm a victim of fraud... Some how, someone obtained my Debit Card number to sell on the internet... then large purchases of bail bonds services in UK and gas in France ensued...
It was very inconvenient at the time... in the middle of my trip after having my card declined at a restaurant... I discovered the problem... My bank shut it down due to the unusual activity... a small purchase to verify the card was good, which was followed by some much bigger purchases... Wow... that was quick how fast they go after your cash... However, my bank was apparently all over it...
I guess I'll I have review how I utilize my card... Guys, watch yourself out there... Definitely an eye opener for me as I sort through this...
Take care,
Jim
Jim,
We went through a similar thing. :(
Someone used our credit card number to purchase a burger in Mexico. Seven thousand dollars later the credit card company contacted us, with "unusual activity" on our account.
It's not fun. That's for sure!
