New wargame site
Hello All
Slightly off topic here. But, did anyone get an email to join a new wargame club ? I did, and out of interest was wondering if anyone else received it.
By the way, been here to long to go anywhere else :)
Thoughts ?

Yeah, Gentlemans wargaming club? I didn't either, went there out of curiosity, only a few members.

It's posted at Matrix under the find an opponent sub-forum.
Matrix Subforum <=== Link
If I was not so busy playing here I was thinking of joining it. Start over from scratch and not transfer games played here.
But, then again it looks to be a gaming club started by a disgruntled former member of The Blitz?
Except for one member I do not know any of the players there. The others seem to hide behind their handles.
Cam's getting an e-mail is curious and peaked my interest. :reporter:

However, I did join out of curiosity just to see what grows in the garden!?

RE: New wargame site
I've belonged to a couple of other clubs in the past but all have said who is running them and have real people at the helm, not so in this case.? which makes me uneasy.
Frankly anyone who just calls themselves "the master" while wanting any one joining to give their real name is at the least on a huge ego trip and can do so without me.
They value there anonymity so much so that they have gone to the extremes of trying to hide themselves from the who-is and domain registration details that is very worrying from a domain registration point of view and I would seriously advise against adding any of your personal details to the site.
Edit : I would also preclude myself as in no way "am I a gentleman".

Good point, I didn't join either, started to, then stopped. Just didn't feel right, like you said, too much anonymity on the owners part....
