HELP: Cannot bring up map from email turn in RS

Gentlemen, the map in my RS email game will not come up after clicking the "See battle" or "Not see battle" box going into a PBEM turn. First I get a "Error reading scenario file", then that goes out & another box saying, "rs.exe has stopped working." I get a black screen with my opponents combat boxes but nothing else. How do I fix this so I can play RS via email? I might add that when I go to RS, the first thing I see is a message saying:" Color scheme has been changed to W7 basic." Would that effect the map? Then it says"A running program isnt compatible with certain visual elements of W7." Then another box says "Running program is rs.exe." Regular games of RS work ok, just the email moves. Eric

Thanx for the info. I went to the site you mentioned & did the things there that Jason suggeted but to no avail: Im still getting no map for RS email moves. HELP. Eric

Is this with every email game? Make sure you have all the files, same as his for the said scenario also!

Yes, if a custom scenario is not downloaded that causes problems ie. the map not showing. It should not crash the executable in my experience however?

At some point of time it is more efficient to stop looking for reasons why the game doesn't work, and to uninstall then re-install the whole thing again... That's what happened to my setup recently. After taking the trouble to re-install, life has been rosy again.
