On this day, I remember Bobby Cox, CPT USMC. Bobby took off in an A-6 one day in the Med and never returned. No trace ever found. I was on the same deployment in 1986. Bobby graduated Texas A&M with me.
Also SGT Kenny May, USMC. Kenny grew up with my children and graduated high school with my oldest son. KIA, Afghanistan. I still weep for his parents who are dear friends.

I remember my grandfather's brother, PFC Nick Vrcan who was killed in action March 11, 1944 during the fighting in and around Bougainville. His is buried in the Manilla American Cemetary in the Philippines.
