New EFII Scenario

New EFII Scenario
A new scenario, "Kampfgruppe Fischer Strikes Southward," was added to the database.
It is part of the Debrecen Offensive in Hungary 1944. This one is small, size modifier 1.
This scenario was designed by John Pirman (Ivan the Big,) and David Galster.
Give it a try, I think you'll find it an intersting mix of modern armored vehicles and
cavalry units.

Thanks,

David Galster

RE: New EFII Scenario
Fellow Blitzer's,

Yes, a shameless plug for this scenario if I may.

David and I played it mirror and had so much fun looking at it from both sides. It is a small quick scenario with a myriad of possibilities for either side. The Germans move first and must immediately take the initiative and deny the Russians the victory. Its a scenario of matchups and maneuver but one wrong move from either side could spell curtains so be thoughtful in your execution. Please send feedback on this one, all comments welcome.

Going forward, David Galster and I have been working on other scenarios all centering around the action near Debrecen, Hungary in October '44. As you history buffs may know there was a monumental struggle between AG South and Malinovski's Ukrainian Front in central Hungary which was the prelude to the Siege of Budapest. Granted this late in the war the Germans were fighting on two fronts and outnumbered by the Allies in almost everything that mattered. In particular the Soviet steam roller was irresistible and grabbed large tracks of land after AG Center vanished earlier that summer. But AG South was still in business and made the Russians pay dearly for eastern and central Hungary months before the Russians reached the outskirts of Budapest. There is a lot of good source material on these actions in Hungary not to mention excellent topographic maps of the region at that time.

David and I hope you all enjoy this first installment of the actions around Debrecen.

Regards comrades!
John

RE: New EFII Scenario
Thanks guys. You designers are the life blood of the game. Can't say how much you're appreciated.

Bravo

Dave
