The challenge for the allies is to defend exit and objective hexes. The French reinforcements turn up in the allied rear so the river line is not defensible for long. The allies are D and E grade and fewer in number than the French, who range from Guard to C grade.French battalions are at full strength, with no losses at Leipzig taken in to account.Decent artillery but that will get overrun.
Heavy French casualties inflicted but still an overwhelming win.
The French have overwhelming forces to make a path for the exit hexes. French Cavalry in mainly B Quality with numerous A+ Quality giving them a considerable advantage in cavalry. Even though the Austrian/Bavarians can use the terrain to their advantage and have good artillery, the French are able to overwhelm them. With the blunders I made early on and losing nearly 4 times as many men as what happened in the historic battle the French were able to accomplish a major Victory by Turn 24. The French have a clear advantage with battalions entering at full strength. My opponent put up an excellent defense making the French pay for every inch and punishing any mistakes; his skills made this a challenge.
