The French took the town quickly, then took a number of guns. However British firepower and poor French quality resulted in much routing. Several leaders were captured to swing the result from a draw to a minor win on the last turn.
The British held the town early, but fell back to higher ground. British artillery commanded movement out of the town and British counter attacks outside of the town kept the French from flanking. French cavalry was numerous, but the terrain wasn't very suitable with the British surprising cavalry squadrons causing numerous casualties. The battle stayed a draw for a while, but a final British counter attack swung it to a minor victory at the end. Good game.
