Panzer Lehr vs. Guardsman

This was a real meat grinder of a battle. I was on the backfoot for almost the entire battle. Although the forces are fairly even, the US troops just cannot compete with the shear volume of fire that a battalions worth of mg42 fire can lay down. Even if I caused casualties the Germans can leave one man with a Spandau behind a hedge and he can dominate the field ahead of him, decimating any US troops that try to push forward. I found it very frustrating. My opponent handled his troops very expertly and I was hanging on by a thread towards the end. A tough fight indeed.
