Much maneuvering and limited action. The French have a central position and a lot of guns. They opted for a northern attack which threw the allies back. Large map and slow roads meant allied troops took forever to get from one side of the map to the other.

Allies stopped me at Lindeau (or did I chicken out?)decided to move forces north and counter attack the Prussians. Kept pushing north and do a surprise crossing at Halle, which failed. Allies were waiting. Then shifted again to cross the Saale to the south after repairing bridges and finding an open crossing right into the Russian army. Central position helped the French and allowed greater maneuver. French do have lots and lots of guns.
