The French spent over 80 turns fighting at Charleroi, and only started to gain the initiative in the last few turns. Difficult to judge balance. The French came close to giving up early on when progress seemed to be non existent. The allies seemed to suffer from an excess of supply wagon reinforcements rather than troops.
