Initial NATO recon forces were quickly dispatched enroute to deployment to compound this a couple of shots from a concealed T72 deployed well forward of the main WP line dispatched a pair of Scimitars before they had chance to engage enemy forces. The following duel between NATO and WP armour on opposing sides of the valley proved time consuming but was finally won by NATO but by then time was pressing, and the infantry assault, despite meeting only light resistance, couldn't be completed in time. Recoilless rifles proved to be a very effective asset for the WP.
