This is a fascinating scenario with the US needing to push across the river using bridging engineers to repair the Golden Gate Bridge to allow their armour to cross and force their way north through various jungle pathways with engineer and Marines in support along with several M113's.
The VC get a fair amount of time to prepare positions and lay IED's which I found very useful. There are several avenues of approach for the uS however and I was fortunate to choose the right one enabling me to concentrate my forces v the Americans.
What decided the matter I think however was the fact that Thomas laid a light bridge using normal engineers rather than a heavy one using the bridge engineers as a result of still being unclear as tothe mechanics (as was I) thus leaving his Patton tanks stranded south of the river.
He nonetheless gamely continued and it was great fun
