The French were well set and did mop up the Algerian guerrillas about the 1st village.
As the advance ensued the French were frustrated by low supply and thus did little
damage to the rebels, as well as rebel maneuvering hamstrung the French.
Too many rebels in good position in the 2nd village pretty
much doomed the French operation to a draw.
