Actually my opponent played Sweden but that isn't an option in the scenario database.
It looked initially very tough for the Prussians. In fact it was a major win in 6 turns.
I can only assume the defenders were on top of the walls, that is why the attackers could shoot them.
The exit hex is unnecessary and unlikely to be reached by the Prussians anyway.
