Morshead vs. LaPalice

The game was dominated by the early shape of battle as LaPalice drove his Commonwealth forces aggressivelt toward the siege lines at Tobruk, and Sidi Rezegh. Something of a stalemate ensued after initial Afrika Corp counterattacks failed. As the game progressed LaPalice chose a second-phase strategy of pushing his lower right flank forces northwards to take the key localities of Sollum and Bardia and the major Axis counterattack - delayed by inadequate consideration of weak supplies - failed miserably. A solid structured effort by LasPailice took the honours!
