The Korean War lasted until December or even January with the In Min Gub holding Seoul firmly past turn 28 and the UN had to send an airborne regiment and the rangers on a near suicide mission to capture the airhead and prevent releasing the red reinforcements and the rise in their political support. It turned out suicidal indeed. Anyway, David vanished.
