It was during this game that I learned (a bit late) about the concept of "on ground" and how it slowed the Vietminh advance appreciably. I got to the French outpost in the end, but got there too slowly and was chopped apart by accurate French fire. I think the attack plan for this scenario is to move quickly, ie. NOT on ground. Live and learn :-) Good game kolc!
