[This scenario is intended to be played with the Blitzkrieg EFII expansion pack installed] Janov, on the river Bug posed a real problem for 18th Panzer division. Corps was expecting it to keep up the pace of the advance once it broke through the first enemy positions, but it found itself blocked by the river Bug. The Soviets had long since fortified their postions there and any frontal assault would only be met with high casualities. So while probes of the II./Motorised Infantry regiment 52 were trying to pinpoint the Soviet postions, 88th Recon battalion was ordered to look for suitable spots by the river to employ the 18th Panzer regiments trump cards : the "Tauchpanzer". When this regiment was formed it was equipped with amphibious tanks that were originally designed to be used for the invasion of Britain. The Soviets knew of amphibious tanks, after all they had their own light amphibious tanks, but when they saw the bigger German tanks roll into the water and get out on the other side, they were completely surprised!
