June 18, 1815 6 Turns ---------------------[ Historical ]--------------------- While leading the attack on La Haye Sainte, Ney saw what he took to be a British retreat. Actually they were only retiring to the reverse slope to gain some protection from the French artillery fire. He then ordered a brigade of Milhaud's cuirassiers to attack the retreating British and force a rout. The charge grew to some 5000 cavalry when both brigades of Milhaud's cuirassiers and Desnouëttes' Guard Light Cavalry joined in.
