[Sharm el Sheikh, Sinai, Egypt]:[H2H][HIS][CSL]: In July 1956 Nasser closed the Strait of Tiran to Israeli shipping, placing an artillery battery at Ras Al-Nasrani and a supporting infantry brigade in Sharm el Sheik, a small fishing town at the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula. The Israeli 9th Infantry Brigade was tasked with securing the entrance to the strait, embarking on a long journey through some of the roughest terrain. The two infantry battalions, equipped with halftracks and newly acquired 6x6 trucks from France, fought the terrain as it drove south down the coast, not running into sporadic resistance until Wadi Kîd. In our opinion, this scenario needs work. Egypt has no reason to attack & Israel is hard pressed to even reach VP hexes. We decided to quit it, start another, and take a draw for our 40+ turns played.
