Background: During the Night of the 5th-6th, Company A and Company B of the 2nd Canadian Infantry Brigade, also known as the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, captured the small town of Villa Roatti. The village was taken after a brief but hard firefight, and the troops spread out, waiting for the expected counter-attack.
The Canadians were low on ammo, when the first shells starting falling at 9:00 AM. Soon, German Grenadiers attacked the town from two different directions.
Canadian bravery allowed them to hold on, until the "Blessings from the God of War", in the shape of a Sherman platoon, arrived to help out the besieged infantry.
Semi-Historical, about 1100 points.

The Battery Commander, his Batman, and a Cook is a fascinating collection of 150 accounts of small-unit action in the Mediterranean Theater. Covering all the territories found in the game ("Italian Africa", "Rommel's Africa", Crete, Sicily, Southern and Northern Italy) in chronological order, it is the essential background companion to Combat Mission: Afrika Korps. From real-life "lessons learned" and how they were applied in the field, to dramatic and terrifying accounts of combat on the tactical level, to the humorous and unique moments, Tom Reiter has collected and edited the 150 accounts from two dozen sources in almost a year of meticulous research.
