HSG B A Real Challenge - Combat Mission: Afrika Korps

18 December, 1944, Rocherath, Belgium The twin villages of Krinkelt and Rocherath were in the main line of advance of the German attack. The American 99th Infantry Division was streaming to the west through the two small villages. The Germans seemed about to breakthrough at any moment. There was an American unit however, that did not retreat, but that was actually moving forward to establish a defense. The US 644th Tank Destroyer Battalion was here to stay. All day on the 18th the Tank Destroyers and small groups of soldiers from the 99th Infantry Division held the small town of Rocherath. The German 12th SS Panzer Division was prepared to do whatever it took to clear the way. They were determined to keep the pressure on the American Infantry Division. They advanced on the morning of the 18th with the 12th SS Panzer Regiment in the lead. Success for the Ardennes Offensive hinges on a quick breakthrough of American lines! Can you break the American resistance and win the greatest victory in German military history? Or will the Americans hold you up here and the offensive be stopped short? We'll soon know. Within the next 10 minutes you will determine the fate of the German nation and the outcome of WWII.

This is a Battle of the Bulge series scenario. This scenario came about because of a challenge that was issued to me by British Tommy on TPG! He said I couldn't make a scenario that was only 4 turns long. He was right! But this is the results of my trying to make one that short! I think it is extremely challenging for the German player. If you think that small, short scenario can't be intense then try this one! You will fight for your very existance for less than 10 minutes but they will be the most action packed 10 minutes you may ever spend!! Good Hunting. MR
