HSG EW Tooth and Nail - Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin

7 February 945, Wormditt, East Prussia, The Soviet offensives continue to roll westward. Each new offensive takes them closer to the Oder River and Berlin. Here, just to the east of the Oder River, near the North Sea, the Russians are pressing the attack. Panzer Grenadier Division Grossdeutschland is falling back. They are conducting a fighting withdrawl. The village of Wormditt is the site of one of the clashes. During 7-8 February 1945, Panzer Grenadier Division Grossdeutschland would defend the small village tooth and nail against the advance of the 1st Belorussian Front.
