Title:Meet & greet at the bridge!
Type:Meeting Engagement
Date:August 1942, mid day
Weather:Dry, warm and SW breeze
Terrain:Dry
Turns:35(variable)

Best played:2 players only
Author:Bert “OWL” Wijnhoud
Introduction:
Most meeting engagements start with a fast and unrealistic race for key terrain and positions controlling the victory locations at the map. This meeting engagement is totally different. Both players control already a part of the map. Only the central objective (bridge B) is not occupied and can be attacked from both sides of the river and from multiple directions.
Be aware, in this period of war at the Eastern Front, Russian T34 tanks are superior but lack radio´s for fast coordinated maneuver warfare. German tanks are easier controlled, but lack the fire power, mobility and superior armour of the Russian T34 and KV tanks.
Both players receive 5x TRP for realistic artillery planning
Situation:
A German Kampfgruppe and a Russian Guards Mechanized Battalion are ordered to defend a bridge seized in an earlier phase. For both forces is one operational bridge in their area of operations critical, so both commanders are ordered to capture a 2nd bridge. Main effort is the central medium bridge with 2 flags, but capturing the bridge already secured by the enemy, is optional and can result in a surprising attack!
