This is the first round scenario of The Drums of War Tournament being run by The Few Good Men Website in partnership with Battlefront.com. This scenario is a meeting engagement where a company of infantry with support from an armoured platoon are pitted against each other in a race to capture their objectives. There has been a couple of slight modifications made to this since the launch of the tournament to even it up just a little bit more. We hope you enjoy this exciting battle and credit for the map goes to Broadsword86 who designed the original map although alterations have been made to it.

Once again I will qualify my statements by adding to them I am playing against Panzer Lehr... who is a well understood opponent with a long and deep understanding of the mechanics of the client. The scenario is well orchestrated and I look forward to playing it again. I am still learning about the nimbleness and sturdiness of certain vehicles and it may have been my naivety but Rhino Sherman's are not as reliable as maybe a pioneer squad with 6 to 8 satchel charges... I would gladly trade them out.. Although I lost one sherman it was on the last turn and really came down to who shot first between the IV and me... but in reality I lost 3 sherman's ... two to immoblizations (the rhinos) and one to enemy gun fire. ... Another thing to note... throughout the scenario I had my maneuvers delayed by... I would like to think... bugs in the client... there was one particular stretch when SEVEN units would not move or carry out commands for FOUR turns... they were all confident and within command of there officers... I can't help but think that since this engagement was a DRAW that this could have proven the difference FOR EITHER SIDE... after all that! I will gladly continue to play the ladder and gladly play PL and gladly take on any other challengers! Thank You to the designers of the scenario and the supporters of this community!
