Can be a lot of long range tank sniping but gave me the best opportunity for a mass armoured attack which was intense.
Well balance in that both sides get the exact unit comp, it could use some heavy arty since i you loose the upper hand in a tank battle your pretty much at your opponents mercy for the rest of the game

Fairly well balanced but I would give a slight edge to the Ukrainians. 2 of their objectives are close together on their side of the map (high on the hill), plus another nearby give them 650 points, whereas for the Russians the objectives are more spread out, and most are closer to the center of the map, having to take 6 objectives for (roughly) the equivalent points (700).
A very good challenge on a nice looking map. The game can be won or lost in the first half hour all depends on how you best use your mbt's. Plenty of patience needed to not run straight into town cos you will suffer just like I did
IMHO the massive imbalance of this scenario is caused by the Russian T-90 tank which is VASTLY superior to the Ukrainina Oplot tank. As there is an equal number of tanks provided to both players, it is no wonder that the Russian player has the better equipment.
REAL OPPONENTS SEE THE BATTLE OUT TO THE END, WINNING OR LOSING
Tough scenario for the Ukrainian player. Ukrainian tanks and APCs seem slower to spot and shoot, with the result that, absent really spectacular bad luck, the Russian should win just by attrition. By the end of our game my Ukrainian opponent did not have a single surviving vehicle, meanwhile I still had 6 tanks and 6 APCs. I have no idea if that reflects real-life differences between Russian and Ukrainian forces, but that's what I experienced.

It is very difficult for the Ukrainians to get down off the high ground without being picked off by the Russians. The Ukrainians having more smoke would be helpful.
I liked the excellent stage a lot, I think the T-90 imposes its law on the Ukrainian armor (Oplot) I think they were totally decisive in the result, some more armor for the Ukrainians surely could come in handy on stage ...
The first side to establish good over watch will have an advantage
