Allied is heavily outnumbered. The Allied heavy Mg is the key.

A difficult scenario for the Americans but they have a chance to win if things go right. If things go wrong they will get crushed.

I THINK the scenario is balanced but can't be sure based on a single play. Small yet complex enough to be worth playing more than once to explore the tactical possibilities. Probably a bit boring for the Allied player, waiting for the German conscripts/green troops to muck their way uphill in the snow before the fun begins.

Think the game favors the Germans, perhaps with a couple of 60MM mortars, the Ami could make more of a go at it – at least issue the Americans more grenades.

Interesting scenario - mismatched forces but weaker side has excellent terrain and defensive positions.

A close run thing.
