Map Size: 3km x 4.5km
Units: Both sides have around a battalion + each – although units are reduced in strength due to casualties etc.
Length: 03:00 (+0-15 minutes variable time)It’s unlikely, playing against the AI that you’ll need all this time, although playing H2H it might be useful.
NOTE: this scenario may take a while to load depending on your PC.
THIS SCENARIO IS BEST PLAYED AS: H2H, SIDE ONE VS AI
Designers: George ‘MC’ McEwan and Charlie Meconis
About the Scenario Name
The tile of the scenario comes from the ring that exists in the Nibelungenlied and made popular by Wagner in his opera. It's based on the idea that 5th Panzer went through multiple cycles of combat during German attempts to stem Operation Bagration. Each cycle involved a specific operation involved in countering Soviet attacks. So it was linking that concept of multiple events with a similar series of events as in Wagner's opera.

Big map. Various cross-country terrain. Big variability of tactical plans for both sides.
Long, a lot of "work" .. but worth it.
The most impressive map I have ever played on. Because of the map size and mobility of forces on each side there are many ways the battle could unfold. In my game the battle played out more as a meeting engagement.
I had my chances but my opponent had the better of me. I would say that given the objective I held I was not expecting a total victory for the Axis.

One of the most interesting scenarios. Potentially several options for both sides.
