hard to say anything toward h2h playability. maybe good against ai (human: german)
I loved the large map, which gave maneuver opportunities and options for the attack. I think the game was roughly even from an overall viewpoint – of course, if I did not send a strong armor attack to my right flank, the SU122’s may have entered the game freely and had an effect. My opponent’s sudden and terrifying tank attack against my open flank of armor on my right flank (I had no sound or other indications before they appeared), could easily have produced a different result, if my gunnery was worse and his better.
King Tigers are nasty.
beautiful map, long scenario.. the only thing i suggest is to change the reinforcement time arrival they come too early for this long scenario
A great "large map scenario" Very disappointed with Russian Armor spotting capability. Tanks simply explode without any evidence of the enemy, very frustrating but Overall a great game.
A very enjoyable battle with a large Soviet ATG setup to start and then hordes of T34s arriving later to tackle a bunch of King Tigers and Panthers. The Kings in particular are almost immune to everything on the board over the front until the Soviet heavy tanks arrive. Speaking of which, these reinforcements need to be relocated so they do not have to cross two water obstacles to get into action. They arrive late enough as it is and the additional delay imposed by bogging and immobilization really unbalances the battle. Lastly, the German objective, The Estate, needs to be changed in the scenario editor to Occupy from Touch so that it matches the briefing.
The King Tigers really tilt this battle in favour of the German player as they are impervious to anything but the heaviest guns over the front. Replacing a few of the KTs with Panthers and having the Soviet heavy tanks come in with the T34s would go a long way toward providing a more balanced scenario.
