"After suffering defeat near Thermopylae, the Makedonian general, Antipater, fell back to Lamia where his remaining troops were besieged. Despite several Greek attempts to capture the town, the Makedonians held out until news of the approach of reinforcements from Asia caused the Greeks to raise the siege and march off to meet the new threat. The death of the Greek leader, Leosthenes, during a sortie by the besieged Makedonians. was probably a significant factor in the failure of the siege. (24 turns)"
