Operation Masher - (Bong Song Engagem - Divided Ground - Vietnam

SEE SPECIAL RULES AT THE END OF THE WRITE UP: As a follow up to Operation Double Eagle 1&2, 1st Cav Division was sent to capture the city of Bong Son and secure the Bridges over the river Son. Only thing standing in their way was the 18th NVA regiment which they aimed at smashing once and for all. Historically the NVA bombed the bridges and the US placed a pontoon bridge over the river. Each night NVA regular motor fire and heavy arty bombed the bridge. LZ 2 Bits became the 1st Cav HQ for several months before being turned over the 2/35 Infantry and in 1970 was turned over the the 4th Infantry Div HQ. SPECIAL RULES: US must take briges and LA2 bits or forfit the game no matter the score. Heuy's can only load or unload in open or grassy areas. Add 10 points each if you airlift your 3 special op observers out.
