1914_1029_01s: Enter the Conqueror - FWWC 01 France '14

Ypres, France, 29th October 1914: On the 27th of October von Falkenhayn made a blunt assessment; both the 4.Armee and 6.Armee had failed in their mission to take Ypres, despite the fact that they had superior numbers. On that day, von Falkenhayn decided to create a new organization in the German Order of Battle and thus, Armeegruppe Fabeck was formed from everything left available, including most of the heavy artillery from 6.Armee. This organization had but one solitary purpose, to attack towards Ypres and crush the salient out of existence. It was now von Fabeck's turn to do what Rupprecht and Herzog Albrecht had failed to do thus far. The order was issued to the German troops for the great attack on the 30th, "The breakthrough will be of decisive importance. We must as will therefore conquer, settle forever with the centuries-long struggle, end the war, and strike the decisive blow against or detested enemy."
