Same problem arose as in many other SB scenarios with a motorized force comprised of a large motor pool - rotate them out of the battlefield ( a vote for reason ) or stash somewhere hoping they won't become an easy prey for prowling enemy armour ( a constant cry from a part of the community here at least).
As the US you need to Deliver the infantry quickly to their start line and then get the transports off the map ASAP otherwise you are leaving your opponent a gift of very expensive target rich environment.
