Near Nakhl, 100 miles S of the Gaza Strip, June 8th 1967: At dawn on the 8th June, while the entire Shazli Task Force, and much of the Egyptian 6th Mechanized Division had already slipped past Nakhl, a full brigade, and remnants from another, were still on the road between Nakhl and Kuntilla. It was about to be crushed between Mendler's Brigade and the Zippori Brigade from Sharon's division.
