Aschaffenburg, West Germany, June 15th 1985: After sustaining heavy loses in the battle of Würzburg, NATO has decided to withdraw to its last line of defence before Frankfurt. German and American engineers have spent the past two days converting Aschaffenburg into a fortress and the US 3rd Armored Division and the remains of the German 12th Panzer Division have been ordered to conduct a delaying battle through the Spessart. The Warsaw Pact juggernaut must be halted at all costs! [Size: medium] Designer’s notes: Best played as NATO or Human vs. Human.

Nato is very strong, but in the last 5 turns the warsaw forces had enough majority left to push the nato forces away
Was able to bottle up the WP bridgehead and that was all she wrote.
Warsaw Pact player must conduct a forced river crossing against an entrenched NATO force equipped with thermal sights. Judicious use of chemical rounds and air support will help offset some of the NATO advantages. Warsaw Pact must probe for weak and less obvious advances through NATO lines while waiting for the bulk of his forces to arrive on the battlefield. Can be a tense and exciting match provided the Warsaw Pact commander carefully harbors his units - especially the large, but somewhat brittle (Morale C) mechanized infantry battalions - until the mid-to-end game period. Recommended Fulda Gap'85 scenario!
