Han River, 16 miles east of Seoul, June 15th 1985: As ROK and US forces prepare for another routine night, North Korean paratroopers load up onto aircraft with a destination deep inside South Korea. At 0300 hours NKPA aircraft flying at low altitudes and under the cover of darkness drop paratroopers along the Han River. At that same moment war erupts on the DMZ and NKPA amphibious forces land on South Korean shores. With the element of surprise in their grasp, North Korean paratroops execute their bold move to capture and hold the bridges along the Han River to aid in the advance of their forces in the north. [Size: medium] Designer's notes: This scenario is the campaign scenario's North Korean Han River airborne operation.

Very dynamic and fluid battlefield where all the moves had to be planned carefully. The ROK home guard units weak as ever and hard to be relieved due to theitr vulnerable deployment.
A tense, exciting and balanced "phased" scenario. Phase 1 - Initial North Korean para-drops against undefended objectives and incremental entry of ROK and American reinforcements to engage North Korean paratroops. Phase 2 - Arrival of both the retreating Allied and advancing North Korean ground forces in the Han River area. Players must adopt and adjust their tactics and strategies dependent on the specific scenario phase. Lots of action and "clock racing" in this 32-turn game as the North Korean player must rapidly capture and setup bridgehead defenses while the Allied player needs to quickly locate and neutralize the enemy paratroops prior to the main combatant forces entering the battlefield. A highly recommended Korea '85 scenario!
