0617_02: A ROK and a Hard Place - MC 03 Korea '85

Hwach'on area, South Korea, June 17th 1985 [D+2]: As ROK forces began displacing, the ROK 21st Infantry Division found it self placed in a precarious situation. The North Korean 2nd Corps had pushed the 21st southeast on its objective to link up with the 43rd Airborne Brigade to where it was now trapped by the Hwach'on Reservoir. With no where else to go the ROK 21st Infantry Division launched a limited counter attack against all odds to break itself free of the isolation. [Size: small]
