0708_01: No Fear - MC 03 Korea '85

Bulgundegi area, South Korea, July 8th 1985 [D+23]: The allied counter offensive launched on June 22nd was a complete success by both relieving Seoul and isolating the bulk of the NKPA's mechanized units to the southwest. As ROK and US forces begin to destroy the remainder of the isolated pockets of NKPA units, North Korea begins a general withdrawal from South Korea in order to conserve what little of its army that still remains. Allied forces bottle up the NKPA 1st and 7th Corps and the remainder of the 425th Mech Corps against the Imjin River. At noon on the 8th of July, a handful of US air assault units show no fear by fast roping down on the north side of the Imjin in order to block three NKPA corps from withdrawing to the north.
