If like me you like to practice before embarking on a Campaign this will give you a chance to see what happens when the paras land near the DMZ. NB Scenario VP not fully tested. Eastern flank of the Korean Peninsula on the Sea of Japan, June 15th 1985: For ten days war had raged in Europe between NATO and the Warsaw Pact, when the North Koreans attacked. For the 4th Corps of the Korean People's Army, this meant a stiff fight over rough ground along the Taebaek Mountains in an attempt to cut of 7th ROK Infantry Division holding on the coast. It also had a secondary objective of applying as much pressure driving south for the US embarkation ports while tying down as many ROK units as possible to defend the eastern flank. [Size: small] Designer's notes: North Korea takes full advantage of its doctrinal shock effect by utilizing tunnels under the Demilitarized Zone and carrying out both airborne and amphibious operations. This confusion cripples the US and ROK chain of command in and around Seoul for much of the first day until the situation can further develop.
