If like me you like to practice before embarking on a Campaign this will give you a chance to see what happens when the paras land near the DMZ. NB Scenario VP not fully tested. On the western flank of the Korean Peninsula inland from 1st Corps, June 15th 1985: For ten days war had raged in Europe between NATO and the Warsaw Pact, when the North Koreans attacked. While 1st Corps held the assignment of the direct route to Seoul it would also face much of the opposition along the coastal plain. It was 5th Corps task, on the left flank of 1st Corps, to cross the DMZ, drive south along MSR3 and the Chorwon Valley approach and then pivot southwest along the twin roads of Yonch'on-Tongduchon and Bulgundegi-Poch'on. By this overland route, 5th Corps was determined to be the first of the Korean People's Army to enter the South Korean Capital. [Size: small] Designer's notes: North Korea takes full advantage of its doctrinal shock effect by utilizing tunnels under the Demilitarized Zone and carrying out both airborne and amphibious operations. This confusion cripples the US and ROK chain of command in and around Seoul for much of the first day until the situation can further develop.
